These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of North Wales Local (northwaleslocal.co.uk), operated by:

By accessing or using this platform — whether as a visitor, registered customer, or business account holder — you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the platform.

North Wales Local is an online business directory and review platform.

It:

• Lists businesses operating within the six principal areas of North Wales
• Allows businesses to claim and manage their listings
• Allows registered customers to submit reviews and recommendations

It does not:

• Endorse or recommend any business
• Verify professional qualifications, licences, insurance, or regulatory compliance
• Act as an agent, broker, or intermediary
• Participate in contracts between businesses and customers

All contracts are formed directly between customers and businesses. Steam Vibe Ltd is not a party to any such agreement and accepts no responsibility for work performed, services provided, or disputes arising between users.

North Wales Local operates as a neutral hosting platform for user-generated content.

We do not:

• Pre-approve business descriptions or customer reviews
• Guarantee accuracy of content submitted by users
• Provide professional advice

Content published on the platform reflects the views of the submitting user and not Steam Vibe Ltd.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or submit content.

By using the platform, you confirm that:

• You are legally capable of entering into binding agreements
• Any information you provide is accurate

5.1 Unclaimed Listings

The directory includes pre-populated listings compiled from publicly available sources.

These listings:

• Are clearly labelled "Unverified Listing"
• Display only publicly available business information
• Do not imply endorsement

Businesses may request removal by verifying their connection to the business. Verified removal requests are actioned within 7 working days.

Inclusion in the directory does not create a contractual right to permanent listing.

5.2 Claimed Listings

Once claimed and verified, the business owner is responsible for:

• Maintaining accurate information
• Ensuring content does not infringe third-party rights
• Complying with all applicable laws

Verification confirms only that the claimant has a reasonable connection to the business. It does not constitute endorsement or validation of competence.

5.3 Listing Maintenance & Removal

Steam Vibe Ltd reserves the right to:

• Hide, suspend, or remove listings
• Remove inactive or unclaimed listings
• Remove listings following unsuccessful outreach
• Remove listings that violate these Terms
• Modify listing display formats

The free listing tier does not create a perpetual or guaranteed right to remain listed.

You must not:

• Submit false or misleading information
• Submit defamatory content
• Impersonate another business
• Post reviews for businesses you have not genuinely used
• Manipulate ratings
• Scrape or harvest data
• Interfere with platform functionality

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules.

Reviews must:

• Reflect genuine personal experiences
• Be factually accurate to the best of your knowledge
• Not contain unlawful, defamatory, or abusive material

By submitting a review, you confirm that:

• The review is truthful
• You understand that false factual allegations may constitute defamation

We operate a moderation system. We may:

• Delay publication
• Hide content pending review
• Remove unlawful content
• Request clarification

We are not responsible for the accuracy of reviews but will investigate credible complaints.

Repeated abusive or false submissions may result in permanent account suspension.

Three tiers are available: Cadair Idris (free), Glyder Fawr, and Yr Wyddfa.

The free tier does not require payment but remains subject to platform rules and maintenance policies.

Paid subscriptions:

• Renew automatically unless cancelled
• Are processed via Stripe
• May be upgraded or downgraded as described in our pricing pages

Cancellation

• Monthly plans: cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing month. No charge for the next period.
• Annual plans: cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the paid annual period. Auto-renewal is prevented immediately on cancellation.
• After cancellation, the listing reverts to the Cadair Idris (free) tier at the end of the paid period.

Refunds

No automatic refunds are issued for unused periods of a subscription. Refund requests are considered on a case-by-case basis and should be submitted to [email protected] within 14 days of a charge. This does not affect your statutory rights.

We may modify pricing with reasonable notice for future billing cycles. Existing subscribers will be notified before any price change takes effect.

Search rankings are determined by algorithmic weighting including relevance, rating, recommendation count, and tier weighting.

Paid tiers receive a ranking weight adjustment.

We do not guarantee:

• Specific ranking positions
• Number of views
• Number of enquiries
• Business growth or revenue

All intellectual property rights in the platform, including database structure, design, layout, and software, are owned by Steam Vibe Ltd.

Users may not:

• Copy substantial portions of the directory
• Reproduce structured database extracts
• Use automated tools to harvest data
• Redistribute listing data

Unauthorised extraction or reuse of substantial parts of the directory may infringe database rights under UK law.

You retain ownership of content you submit.

By submitting content, you grant Steam Vibe Ltd a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and distribute that content within the platform and related promotional materials.

This licence ends when content is removed, except where retention is legally required or anonymised for review integrity.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Steam Vibe Ltd shall not be liable for:

• Loss arising from reliance on listing information
• Business losses, lost profits, or lost opportunities
• Disputes between customers and businesses
• Indirect or consequential loss

Nothing excludes liability for:

• Death or personal injury caused by negligence
• Fraud
• Any liability that cannot legally be excluded

Our total aggregate liability in any 12-month period shall not exceed the amount paid by you in fees during that period.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted service.

We may:

• Modify features
• Change ranking algorithms
• Update or discontinue features
• Perform maintenance

We are not liable for service interruptions caused by third-party providers or events beyond our control.

We may suspend or terminate accounts for:

• Breach of these Terms
• Fraud
• Platform abuse

Upon termination of a business account, the listing may revert to unclaimed status or be removed entirely.

We may update these Terms periodically. Material changes will be communicated to registered users where appropriate.

Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

North Wales Local operates an optional referral programme for verified business account holders.

17.1 Eligibility

Only verified (claimed) business listings are eligible to participate. Unclaimed listings do not generate referral links or rewards.

17.2 How Referral Links Work

Each verified business is assigned a unique referral link based on their business slug (e.g., northwaleslocal.co.uk/join?ref=your-business). Referral links are permanent and tied to the business ID. If a listing is deleted, the referral link is invalidated.

17.3 Referral Attribution

A referral is attributed when a new business signs up using a valid referral link (or manually enters a referral code during registration) within 6 months of the link being clicked. After 6 months, the attribution lapses and no reward is earned.

17.4 Reward Conditions

A referral reward is triggered when:

• The referred business upgrades to a paid subscription tier (Glyder Fawr or Yr Wyddfa); and
• The referred business successfully pays their second monthly invoice (confirming a genuine ongoing subscription).

No reward is paid for free-tier registrations that do not upgrade.

17.5 Reward Values

• Free tier (Cadair Idris) referrers: receive a £7.89 account credit applicable against any future paid subscription.
• Paid tier (Glyder Fawr or Yr Wyddfa) referrers: receive one month free — a 100% discount applied to their next invoice.

Multiple referral rewards may stack. There is no cash alternative to credits or free months. Credits expire 12 months from the date of issue if unused.

17.6 One Reward Per Referred Business

Only one referral reward is payable per referred business, regardless of how many referral links they may have clicked. In the event of attribution disputes, Steam Vibe Ltd's decision is final.

17.7 Programme Modification

Steam Vibe Ltd reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the referral programme at any time with reasonable notice to existing participants. Rewards already earned at the point of termination will be honoured.

17.8 Abuse

Self-referrals and fraudulent referrals (including creating fictitious business accounts) are prohibited. We reserve the right to withhold rewards and suspend accounts where abuse is suspected.
