Yes. The Cadair Idris plan is completely free. No credit card needed, no time limit. You get a listing in search results, a description, and one contact method (phone or email).

What's the difference between the plans?

Cadair Idris (free) gives you a basic listing. Glyder Fawr (£4.49/mo) adds your website link, both phone and email, up to 5 photos, and you can see how many people tapped your number or email. Yr Wyddfa (£7.89/mo) adds up to 10 photos, a customer contact form, a full stats page, and your listing appears nearer the top of search results.

How do I verify my listing?

We use several verification methods. The simplest is if you contact us from the phone number or email address already on your listing — that's sufficient to verify you instantly. Otherwise, you can verify via your website domain email, a Google Business Profile, a photo of your branded van, or a business document.

My listing has a different email from the one I want to log in with — can I still claim it?

Yes. The matching-email path is just the fast lane. If your login email is different, send the code anyway — after you sign in we'll ask you to prove you own the business another way. You can upload a selfie with your branded van, a document (accountant letter, utility bill or insurance certificate), or send us a link to your Google Business Profile. We check it by hand and approve within a few working days.

I already signed up as a customer — can I still claim my business?

Yes. You don't need a second account. Log in with the same email, open your business listing, and click 'Claim This Business'. Your customer access stays the same — we just add business tools to your account.

Question 7

My business is already listed but I didn't add it — why?

Accepted Answer

We pre-populate the directory from publicly available sources (Google, Facebook, print directories) to give customers a comprehensive resource. All data is public information. You can claim and take control of your listing at any time, or request removal if you'd prefer not to be listed.

Can I cancel my paid subscription?

Accepted Answer

Yes, at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You'll keep all paid features until then, and your listing reverts to the free Cadair Idris tier after that.

Question 9

What happens to my photos if I downgrade?

Accepted Answer

If you downgrade to a tier with a lower photo limit, you'll be asked to choose which photos to keep. Any photos beyond the limit are archived (not deleted) and can be restored if you upgrade again.

Do I need an account to browse listings?

Accepted Answer

No. Anyone can browse and search the directory without an account. You only need to register if you want to leave a review or recommend a business.

How do I leave a review?

Create a free account using just your email address (no password needed — we use a one-time code). Then find the business you want to review and click 'Write a Review'. You can review any listing, claimed or not. Recommendations (thumbs up) are only available on claimed/verified listings.

Are reviews moderated?

Yes. All reviews pass through an automated filter before publication and may be reviewed by our team. Reviews that violate our guidelines (spam, offensive language, defamatory content) will be removed.

What does 'Unverified Listing' mean?

It means the business has not yet claimed their listing. The information was sourced from publicly available data but has not been confirmed by the business owner. Contact details may be out of date.

How are search results ranked?

Results are ranked by how well they match your search, review ratings, recommendation count, and how recent they are. Paid listings get a small boost and are marked with a 'Featured' badge so you can tell.

What happens to my data if I delete my account?

For customer accounts: your personal data is deleted, but reviews you've written are anonymised (your name is replaced with 'Deleted User') to maintain the integrity of the review system. For business accounts: your listing can be reverted to unclaimed status or fully removed on request.

How do I request removal of my business data?

You can request removal of an unclaimed listing by contacting us from the phone number or email address on the listing — this proves your connection to the business. We process all removal requests within 7 working days.

How does the referral programme work?

Every claimed business has a unique referral link in their dashboard (under the Referrals tab). Share it with another local business. When they claim their listing and upgrade to a paid plan, you receive a reward — and your link stays active permanently.

What do I get if I refer another business?

Accepted Answer

The reward depends on your current plan. If you're on a paid plan (Glyder Fawr or Yr Wyddfa), your next month's invoice is reduced to £0 — one free month per successful referral. If you make multiple referrals, free months queue and apply one at a time. If you're on the free Cadair Idris plan, you receive a £7.89 account credit. This credit is applied to your next invoice and covers one month on any paid plan — it is not redeemable for cash and does not carry over: if you use it on the £4.49 Glyder Fawr plan, the remaining balance is not transferred to the following month. Rewards are applied once the business you referred has paid their second invoice.
