In 1971 a trained mechanic and the founder of Health Care Centre Wales, Peter Williams started to repair wheelchairs in North Wales. Tendering for and winning contracts for this service, his business expanded. The next stage was to start a mobile service. As many of the repairs were small, this way a much larger number could be repaired in a working day. Working within the care sector for both private and business clients Peter gained a real insight to their requirements. Armed with this experience he moved on to provide a comprehensive service to fully equip care homes throughout the UK with all the equipment they required.
